MIS launches new website

January 2019, London: MIS has just made live its new website, the final product to come out of a year of exciting changes for the company.
For anyone following the company’s activities, you will know that 2018 was a hugely successful year for MIS resulting in lots of positive step forwards for the UK’s leading geospatial intelligence company.
MIS received Venture Capital backing…
In April 2018, Managing Director Forbes McKenzie began sourcing potential venture capital (VC) firms to invest in the company’s vision and SaaS web portal which provides geospatial intelligence to the global insurance market.
After 6 months of numerous meetings, December 2018 saw the monies arrive. MIS is now proudly backed by Eden Rock, James Matthews’ investment fund, alongside high-net worth individuals including Tim Collins, the famous Northern Irish SAS Army Officer.
The company’s investors have put their money into MIS in order to help the company fund its product roadmap and vision to further enhance the award winning MIS-Intel Portal’s capability in facilitating claims payments and decisions.
Additionally, MIS renewed its contract with the Lloyd’s Market Association Claims Committee (LMACC) for another two years. The contract allows MIS to continue delivering its track record of providing timely actionable intelligence following NATCATs.
And won the 2018 British Claims Awards TOP prize of the night…
MIS’ abilities were not only recognised by investors and Lloyd’s , but also by the judges on the panel for the 2018 British Claims Awards.
MIS was nominated for the category of ‘Most Innovative Technology of the Year’, yet won the very highest prize of the evening for ‘Outstanding Achievement of the Year’. The award represented the hard work the entire team has put in over the years and was a big moment for the whole MIS team.

As well as increasing the size of of the MIS team…
2018 also saw the hiring of three new employees and a governing board. MIS welcome to the team:
- Matthew O’Connor as Chairman (April 2018);
- Meyrick Vevers as NED (June 2018);
- Zosia Krajewska, now Business Operations Manager (April 2018);
- Calvin Wylie as Junior Developer (September 2018; and
- Alfie Conetta as Chief Technical Officer (October 2018).
MIS is also looking forward to their latest recruit starting in March 2019 as Chief Product Officer. The individual joins with a highly impressive insurance career and will partly be responsible for ensuring future Portal developments best cater to the needs of the insurance market. All paving the way for an exciting future
Such a positive 2018 can only pave the way for a great 2019.
With monies received, visions constantly being updated, and product roadmaps on the road to being enacted, 2019 will see the company enhance and expand its Portal and service offerings.
A glimpse of such new offerings has already been caught with the company performing exceptionally well on several large business interruption cases. Stu Ray, Senior Imagery Analysis and Lead Concierge, deserves special mention here for his undivided attention to a particular case in Houston, Texas relating to business interruption following Hurricane Harvey.
Stu’s work was praised and showcases the high-level of actionable intelligence analysis the company is capable of providing.
